ON FLOORING REMODELING
One wrong piece, and the entire staircase would show it. That was the level of precision required at FOLEY & LARDNER. This marble staircase was not a standard tile installation. Each piece had to be custom-made and laser-cut so the geometry, edges, and transitions worked together as one continuous architectural element. On a staircase like this, there is nowhere to hide a bad cut or a misaligned line. Every tread, riser, and connection has to carry the same visual rhythm from top to bottom.
